Constantine: A Feast of Friends Recap

EPISODE: 4 TITLE: A Feast of Friends ORIGINAL AIR DATE: November 14, 2014 My favorite episode so far. There were parts that were scary, touching, gross and funny. Manny’s eyes…still a distraction. SPOILER ALERT * please stop reading if you do not want to be told what happens * The episode opens at an airport with Gary Lester (which we found out is an old friend of Constantine’s) being questioned by airport customs. See, the customs guy just thought the sweaty hot mess that was standing before him might be a bit sketch. He was right, but you don’t know if Gary is … Continue reading Constantine: A Feast of Friends Recap

Constantine: The Devil’s Vinyl Recap

EPISODE: 3 TITLE: The Devil’s Vinyl ORIGINAL AIR DATE: November 7, 2014 This episode was the king of snark and witty one liners. It might have been my favorite episode so far andManny’s eyes are still a freaking distraction. SPOILER ALERT * please stop reading if you do not want to be told what happens * The episode opens with a blonde “breaking and entering” a run down building. It’s filled with dead carcasses of animals. (Normal women would run screaming from the place. Hell, normal men would run screaming from the place, but not this woman.) She goes to a place … Continue reading Constantine: The Devil’s Vinyl Recap

SPOILER ALERT * please stop reading if you do not want to be told what happens * The episode opens with the death of a miner (Lannis) by a flash fire. Constantine tells Chas they’re headed to PA, but Chas reminds him he’s got an outstanding warrant in that state … Continue reading Constantine: The Darkness Beneath Recap

Constantine: Non Est Asylum Recap

EPISODE: 1 TITLE: Non Est Asylum ORIGINAL AIR DATE: October 24, 2014 First, I will admit I have not read one HELLBLAZER comic from DC Comics. I’m just not that hardcore. Second, I really didn’t like the movie CONSTANTINE either. Keanu Reeves was absolutely terrible in that movie. TERRIBLE. The two saving graces from the movie were TILDA SWINTON as Gabriel and GAVIN ROSSDALE as Balthazar. They were an absolute joy to watch and TILDA SWINTON took being androgynous to a level that would surpass even king of androgyny, DAVID BOWIE, in this film. She’s just a bad ass. Now having confessed my lack of … Continue reading Constantine: Non Est Asylum Recap
